Gumbo: Seafood Feast + Deals + Freebies!

Share it Please
We celebrated my mom's birthday at Gumbo, A Taste of New Orleans located at Megamall Atrium. The night was started with a mass at the Atrium's chapel and ended with a feast.

BUY 1 TAKE 1

Gumbo's manager had pitched us a deal. We can choose any set of their group meal and our second set is free. It's applicable to all their group meals even if it's the cheapest one. The catch however, is you have to pay for the more expensive set even if you choose the cheaper one as your first and the pricier one as the second.

Seafood Boil (Php 1,325)

Our second set was Seafood Boil, we orginally intended to get the Seafood Feast which was grilled instead of boiled and priced the same as our first set, Family Feast. At my insistance however we got the Boil since it had crabs and I had a slight dislike for grilled Creamdory.

Family Feast (Php 1,395)

Family Feast was our paid meal, which was clearly for meat lovers inspite of some shrimp and fried creamdory pieces. Succulent and tender Baby Back Ribs, loved the Fried Fish!

2 ENTREES + 2 MAINS for P999!

We availed another promo, which was not allowed but the manager said so, so why not?

Your choice of two entrees and two main dishes for Php 999!

Ceasar Salad

Not a big fan of salads but this tasted earthy and nonetheless healthy.

Buffalo Wings

A big NO for me, it was too sour and weird tasting that I did not even give it a second bite.

Fish and Chips

Loved the sauce! The fish were cooked to crispy and juicy perfection.

Steak with Cajun Rice

Okay. I confess, I'm not sure what's the name of this but it really is steak. It was okay, nothing really surprising.

FREEBIES!

Security Bank kicked its Marketing a notch, with the contract with Megan Young and now giving freebies when you sign up for their credit card.

Seafood Gumbo

We got two of these from good old Security Bank and I'll tell you it's not for safe-ist, if that's even a word. It tasted earthy, rich and in a way that you'll just say, is this New Orleans?

Don't forget the free icecream they give for birthday celebrants!
