A.Veneto: Pizza for the Nth Time

I love Pizza, more specifically I loveeeee Hawaiian Pizza. If that's not obvious by now the the earth is not round. Lol

What better way to prove my love for pizza than to eat one?

Hawaiian Pizza (Php 95)

The best thing about A.Venetto's Pizzas are their affordability. Even though affordable sometimes lead to the misconception that it's not great, it was not so.

The place give that quality vibe without the sky high price. Carla 1 and Carla 2 got Bacon & Cheeseburger Pizza. Both pizzas satisfied our cravings.

Gumbo: Seafood Feast + Deals + Freebies!

We celebrated my mom's birthday at Gumbo, A Taste of New Orleans located at Megamall Atrium. The night was started with a mass at the Atrium's chapel and ended with a feast.

BUY 1 TAKE 1

Gumbo's manager had pitched us a deal. We can choose any set of their group meal and our second set is free. It's applicable to all their group meals even if it's the cheapest one. The catch however, is you have to pay for the more expensive set even if you choose the cheaper one as your first and the pricier one as the second.

Seafood Boil (Php 1,325)

Our second set was Seafood Boil, we orginally intended to get the Seafood Feast which was grilled instead of boiled and priced the same as our first set, Family Feast. At my insistance however we got the Boil since it had crabs and I had a slight dislike for grilled Creamdory.

Family Feast (Php 1,395)

Family Feast was our paid meal, which was clearly for meat lovers inspite of some shrimp and fried creamdory pieces. Succulent and tender Baby Back Ribs, loved the Fried Fish!

2 ENTREES + 2 MAINS for P999!

Wee Nam Kee: Not Even Wong

What's not to love about Chinese? Despite its greasiness, I find comfort in eating it, no, scratch that, scarfing it down more like it.

Wee Nam Kee Fried Rice (Php 225)

As you might have guessed/known I am a firm believer that rice is essential in everyday life inspite of endless carbohydrate choices.

A good kind of rice makes me so happy but a great kind of rice makes me eat two bowls of it. And yes, we did order two bowls of this. That's how happy my tummy was. It was not too salty, not too greasy and it was also generous with its mix of egg, carrots and peas. As Filipinos call it, kanin pa lang ulam na.

Tsoko.Nut: Chocolate, the Filipino Way

The goal of this blog is not exactly to try new restaurants, it's about food experiences that to some may be old but entirely new to me. Discovering new things closer to home is such a great joy that it is meant to be shared

Take Tsoko.Nut for example, established the year 2004, which I often passed by without a second glance. But for some reason that day or because I was more open to new things, we tried it.

Tablea Mousse Cupcake (P45)

Chocolate, the Filipino way, known by most of us as tablea, is incorporated in pretty much all of their menu.

Tonkatsu by Terazawa: Katsu One More Time!

It was a very unplanned Saturday eat-out with my friends. We wandered around Glorietta for about 30 minutes, tried to look at Buffalo Wings 'N Things but eventually ended up at Tonkatsu by Terazawa. Monica's P500 off from her planner is a big plus in our decision.

Unfortunately for me, I was still experiencing my blog-hair day at that time. The photos are still a bit low quality and blurry for my taste but what can I do? It helped that my friends pitched in with their cameras. (S4 vs. iPhone moment ha!)

We had French Fries and Fried Chicken Wings for starters.

French Fries (Php 125)

Asian-ized by the flakes of tea or was that some other herb?

Fried Chicken Wings (Php 195)
